The supervising location manager is senior to the location manager, and acts as the primary point of contact for the director, producer and production designer, in terms of location filming.

Iwan Roberts was the first to receive this credit on Doctor Who, in 2018, after having served as a location manager for around 7 years. Lyn Moses, who had worked as a unit manager for Class, took on the role of location manager, under him.
