Joseph Goebbels

Paul Joseph Goebbels (PROSE: Heart of TARDIS [+]Loading...["Heart of TARDIS (novel)"]) was the propaganda minister of Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Goebbels was appointed Minister of Propaganda (PROSE: Timewyrm: Exodus [+]Loading...["Timewyrm: Exodus (novel)"], The Shadow in the Glass [+]Loading...["The Shadow in the Glass (novel)"]) after Hitler came to power. With this position, Goebbels controlled newspapers, radio, and films. (PROSE: Players [+]Loading...["Players (novel)"])

In 1939, Goebbels met Ace at a party rally in Nuremberg and offered her a chance to become a film star, which she declined. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Exodus [+]Loading...["Timewyrm: Exodus (novel)"])

By 1945, Goebbels served in the Führerbunker in Berlin alongside Hitler. When Hitler inspected a Hitler Youth Brigade, Goebbels had ordered that the Führer was to be filmed only from certain angles to hide his increasing infirmity.

Goebbels was married to Magda Goebbels, with whom he had six children. By the end of the Second World War, he had moved them into the Führerbunker. Following Hitler's example, he and his wife would murder their children, then kill themselves. (PROSE: The Shadow in the Glass [+]Loading...["The Shadow in the Glass (novel)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

He was portrayed by Justin Salinger in Hitler: The Rise of Evil.
