Semper distans
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
"Semper distans", or "semperdistant", (PROSE: 73 Yards [+]Loading...["73 Yards (novelisation)"]) was a term coined by Enid Meadows from Latin as a synonym for one keeping their distance from another. It meant "always distant" in English.
Enid invented the term as a way to describe a mysterious woman who was following Ruby Sunday whilst always staying 73 yards away, an act that led Ruby to believe that "following" was not the right descriptor. (TV: 73 Yards [+]Loading...["73 Yards (TV story)"])
