A shove was a forceful, if not overly violent act of pushing something such as another person's body. Shoving could be done as a social cue signifying displeasure with the shoved party, (TVRevolution of the Daleks [+]Loading...["Revolution of the Daleks (TV story)"]) or shoving could be a practical measure to get an inanimate target such as a dead body to where one wanted it to go, if it was too big to carry easily. History

Yasmin Khan angrily shoved the Thirteenth Doctor after she reappeared in Graham O'Brien's living room with casual cheerfulness, seemingly heedless of the fact that she had been out of Team TARDIS's lives for months and Yaz had been worried sick. Jack Harkness observed her hostility; when he confronted her on her conflicted feelings regarding the Doctor, Yaz tried to retort that he was "guessing a lot from a shove", though she was then forced to admit that his reading of the act was accurate. When explaining how to deal with the corpse of a waiter who had tried to kill the group before committing suicide with a poison pill, Yasmin Khan suggested to Dan Lewis and Eustacius Jericho that they "shove" the body overboard come nightfall, when it would be quiet.
