- "Sorcerer-scientists" are a core part of the mythology of the Dorian Hawkmoon books of the Michael Moorcock Multiverse. In those novels' post-apocalyptic setting, the Dark Empire of Granbretan (the future version of Great Britain) possess a fearsome order of sorcerer-scientists who use ancient technologies in an arcane manner.
