An Unearthly Child was a prose adaptation of the first serial of Doctor Who, sometimes known as An Unearthly Child. It was adapted by Jeremy Bentham and published in the second issue of Doctor Who Magazine.

It was the first official prose adaptation of the serial, with the novelisation, Doctor Who and an Unearthly Child, being released in 1981, roughly 2 years later.
