A range of icecanos were located on the dark side of Skaro. Connected to the Ice Heart of Skaro, the icecanos issued "molten snow and ice" in explosions which covered "many hundreds of miles". The Anti-Dalek Force considered the region affected by the icecanos to be "one of the most fantastic geological areas in the Universe".
