A near-omniscient life force existed "beyond the beyond of beyond, at the dark endless edge of eternal space". It had "neither form nor substance", being merely an intelligence which knew nearly all secrets of the Universe.
It once relayed the details of a Dalek attack on a prehistoric planet to an individual from the 20th century. It warned the individual that the Daleks had left a Dalek Vault on the planet, but the life force did not know which planet this was. It sent a scrambled thought image to the individual which revealed where the Daleks left their vault: under the modern location of London Bridge. (COMIC: Invasion! The Enemy Within!
