A white Supreme Dalek of the New Dalek Paradigm was used by the Eleventh Doctor to access the Dalek data core.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In their record of Dalek activity in linear history, the Time Lords indicated that this Dalek was active in the "far future", the time of the New Dalek Paradigm following the pre-Time War Hand of Omega Incident, which itself followed the 47th century Necros Incident. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)

The Dalek was heavily damaged and trapped when it was encountered by the Eleventh Doctor, who taunted it and then took all the information it had on the Silence from its data core. The Dalek reacted with panic when it was confronted by the Doctor, but because it was too badly damaged and on its side, it couldn't do anything to stop the Doctor download information from its data-core.

Having acquired what he came for, the Doctor cut off the Dalek eyestalk and left, leaving the Supreme for dead. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)

A Dalek without its eyestalk and the same battle damages was on the Dalek Asylum when it was destroyed. (TV: Asylum of the Daleks) The Time Lords indicated on their time scale of Dalek activity that the Doctor's encounter with the damaged Dalek had taken place prior to the Asylum Incident. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Prop[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Supreme Dalek in The Wedding of River Song was depicted with a prop originally created to portray the Supreme Dalek in Victory of the Daleks then reprised for the Supreme Dalek in The Pandorica Opens. For its use here, the prop was distressed. The distressed prop later appeared within the Dalek Asylum in Asylum of the Daleks[1][2] while a different, red-eyed prop was used to depict the "main" Supreme Dalek, later confirmed by The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe to be the same individual as the Supreme in Victory.

The prop last seen on-screen in Asylum of the Daleks was auctioned for Children in Need in November 2022.[3]

Portrayal[[edit] | [edit source]]

Like the Supreme Dalek in The Pandorica Opens, Nicholas Briggs portrayed this Supreme with a standard Dalek voice unlike the deep voice of the Dalek Supreme in Victory and Asylum.
