Hellas

Hellas was a human colony on an ocean planet. The human colonists abandoned technology upon arrival and reverted to a simpler life in the image of the Ancient Greeks.

The Daleks used mined taranium to divine that the First Doctor would one day land on the planet, and so moved to intercept him. The Dalek time machine crashlanded on arrival and turned up fifty years too early, with the scientist Dalek capable of fixing the ship destroyed. Thought to be gods by the people in the village of Athenios on the island of Athenos, the Daleks used this state of affairs to their advantage, manipulating the inhabitants into mining taranium for them on the island and setting a trap for the Doctor's eventual arrival.

When the Doctor did arrive, in the company of Steven Taylor and Vicki Pallister, he was able to defeat the Daleks and destroy the Dalek time machine, before escaping from the planet in his TARDIS. (GAME: Curse of the Cyclops ^[+]Loading...["Curse of the Cyclops (game)"])
