Dulkis is an isolated planet which orbits a minor, yellow star near the the edge of a spiral galaxy.

This spiral galaxy may be one of the Ten Galaxies.

Dulkis is hot, dry and ochre in colour from space. It has few valuable minerals, but there are some materials that can be used for nuclear fission in the Northern hemisphere. Dulkis is the home world of the Dulcians.

One of the locations on the planet is the Island of Death. The Island of Death is a dry, rocky island in the Southern hemisphere which was used as testing by the Dulcians for nuclear weapons. It was later chosen as the site for landing by the Dominators who wanted to use both radiation and the thin crust in the area. (DW: The Dominators (novelisation))
