During the Second Doctor's trial, the image of a Cyberman was projected through a Thought Channel onto a screen as an example to the Court of the "evils" which he fought.

The fourth of five examples of evil cited, the "half creature, half machine" Cybermen were noted by the Doctor for having attempted to conquer Earth, (TV: The War Games [+]Loading...["The War Games (TV story)"]) the Doctor from his perspective having recently thwarted the Cyberman invasion of Earth in the 20th century Earth. (TV: The Invasion [+]Loading...["The Invasion (TV story)"], The War Games in Colour [+]Loading...["The War Games in Colour (TV story)"]) As the Doctor listed these evils, images of the species were seen on the screen; in one account these were generic images of the monsters in motion, (TV: The War Games [+]Loading...["The War Games (TV story)"]) but in another, the images included snapshots of the Doctor and his companions' encounters with them. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Roy Pearce and his fellow monster actors were uncredited on-screen for their appearance in The War Games, though they were credited in Radio Times. During filming, the assembled monsters posed for a picture with Second Doctor actor Patrick Troughton.
