Moonbase

The Moonbase was a small scientific base built on the Moon during the 21st century, with a limited crew of scientists. It was under the control of International Space Command.
Circa the 2050s the Gravitron (a device capable of gravitationally manipulating the tides on Earth and through them its weather) was intalled here. By the 2070s it was connected to the Earth by monthly shuttle rocket runs.
In 2070 the base seemed to be struck by a disease, but this was in fact a prelude to an attack by Cybermen. the Cybermen wanted to take the base in order to use the graviton to destroy life on Earth and eliminate it as a threat. However, they failed, and though the normal operations of the Graviton were briefly disturbed, eventually it could continue operation. (DW: The Moonbase)

- At another point in the 21st century it controlled the Earth's T-Mat system and was attacked by the Ice Warriors. (DW: The Seeds of Death)
- In an alternate timeline created by Elizabeth Klein, the Moonbase was attacked in 2044 by the Selachians. (BFA : The Architects of History)
- In the 1967 episode 'Tomb of the Cybermen''. The second doctor (Patrick Troughton) wanted to know why they died out thousands of years ago. Instead, the Cyberleader answered why he and his army of Cybermen: The Early Years attacked the moonbase.
