Anubian
The Anubians were the former slaves of the Huducts, after they were liberated by K9 Mark I they went on to conquer other species.
Biology
The Anubians had golden skin, jackal-like heads with large, wing-like ears and glowing red eyes.
Technology
After K9 liberated the Anubians they reverse engineered the mind-controlling Torcs worn on the head originally used by the Huducts to control the Anubians. They used Pyramid-like starships with cloaking devices to expand their empire. The Anubians were able to shoot energy blasts out of their palms. They were able to control their ships through the use of Ankhs on their chest.
History
Thousands of years before 2050, the Anubians were forced to serve under their overlord masters, the Huducts for millennia. K9 then travelled to Anubis and freed the Anubians. He then left the Anubians and the Huducts to reconcile in peace, however this didn't last and the Anubians enslaved the Huducts just as they were the other way round and the Huducts wore the Torcs on their necks. The Anubians then went on to control a vast empire, using the Huduct headbands to control conquered species. The Anubians sometimes fooled their potential slaves with the Olive Branch of peace. During their history of conquest the Anubians attacked the Sea Devils, Alpha Centaurans, Mandrels and Aeolians. (K9TV: Curse of Anubis)
In 2050, the Anubians turned their attention towards Earth. Two Anubians, Nebetka and Geb travelled in starship to Earth. This caught the attention of The Department, Inspector Drake ordered the ship to be destroyed using orbital missiles but before he could do so the ship dissapeared, apparently burned up in the atmosphere. The ship actually cloaked and landed somewhere in London where K9 Mark 2,Starkey and Jorjie Turner were stargazing, K9 decided to investigate the ship. The two Anubians transported down near them and were met by two CCPCs who advanced on them, however the Anubians knocked them out with their energy attack. The Anubians then advanced on Starkey and Jorjie, when K9 flew in their defense the Anubians were shocked at his presence and bowed and chanted to him. They then arrived at the Gryffen House, they introduced themselves to K9. They then showed them their history book, and told them of their subjugation by the Huduct and their liberation by K9. The Anubians grew tired of Darius Pike's insults of the old K9 and Alistair Gryffen told him to leave. They then refused to show the rest of the book after K9s's departure. As Gryffen admired their cloaking device they told him they were informed fo K9's enemies, when Gryffen argued only some were bad, they insisted the Department were enemies and that they would trouble him no more.
Trivia
- The Anubians resemble the Osirians, who in turn resembled like the traditional depictions of Set.
