Maureen O'Brien (born 29th June 1943 in Liverpool) played the Doctor's companion Vicki in Doctor Who, beginning with The Rescue and ending with The Myth Makers. She has also appeared in many other television programmes, most notably Casualty.
She played the part of Vicki in 1965, but since then has had little to do with the series. Maureen has stated she doesn't really care that much for science fiction. However, she has recently worked on a number of audio plays for Big Finish Productions. (BFDE: The Fearless: Part 1 extra interview)
After leaving Doctor Who, O'Brien went on to become a best-selling author.
