Ekthelios was a planet with a spaceport patrolled by GateBots where the Doctor, along with Amy Pond, had an unspecified but dangerous adventure in which, without Amy’s idea about using nail polish, Ekthelios would have become part of the Croidum Expansion. Little is known about the incident, except that the Doctor and Amy were recognized as heroes and granted freedom of the planet by the Central Governors. (DWAM: Attack of the GateBots!)
