Forum:Recent "please fill me in" vandalism

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Template:Forum archives header

Recently there has been an attack (as is the best term for it) by an anonymous individual who creates wanted pages with text such as "what is this" and "please fill me in", and other variants. When we delete the pages and block him/her/it (hereby to be refered to using singular "them"), they change their IP address and recreate several more pages, often some of the same ones.

It may be a legitimate concern about the site, but the anon ignores comments placed on their talk page, often insulting the commenter (usually me) and says that I am treating them like a child and continues vandalising.

Apparently, the anon doesn't seem to understand how a wiki works, and that its contributors are not omniscient in the subjects the wikis are about (in this case, the Whoniverse), and refuses to understand as well. So what do we do about him/her/it... I mean "them"? ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 17:09, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

I've also been having a think about this (while thinking about general vandalism policy), I don't think there's anything we can do, apart from what we've been doing. I think in this case we should have a no tolerance policy, with a month of blocking, maybe 6 months if there's been more than 3 articles created. --Tangerineduel 18:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I doubt there's anything we can do except ban "them". It's obvious "they're" not going to learn the principle of the wiki any time soon. Azes13 18:03, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
