Howling:Throwing everything in 2009, stupid descission.

There are people on the wiki attempting to make The End of Time take place in 2009, but the results are deadly. As we know, the Whoniverse is a year ahead of us, but some won't accept it, so let's see what happens to poor 2009 when you put The End of Time in it...

Timeline with the End of Time in 2009:

Rose (2005) - Year Skip - DR. WHO series 1 (2006) - The Christmas Invasion (End of 2006) - DR series 2, first half of Torchwood series 1 (2007) - The Runaway Bride (End of 2007) - second half of Torchwood series 1 (early 2008) - the Saxon era (April/May 2008) - SJA series 1 (summer 2008) - Voyage of the Damned (End of 2008) - Torchwood series 2 (January-Febuary-March-April 2009), series 4 DR. Who (April/late May 2009), Planet of the Dead (2009, since when was Easter in June?), SJA series 2 (July and August 2009), Children of Earth (September 2009), SJA series 3 (October and November 2009), The End of Time (December 2009).

How can all Torchwood series 2, Children of Earth, SJA series 2 and 3, and two Doctor Who specials all fit in 2009? That's how the timeline looks when you out The End of Time in 2009. And since when is Easter in late May or June?

We know for a fact that the Dalek invasion in late May 2009, reference by Planet of the Dead, which takes place on April 12th, making it take place the following year: 2010. No one has a problme with that. Because of that, it makes SJA series 3 take place in 2010. Because of both of them taking place in 2010, they make The End of Time take place in 2010. People have a problem with that.

So they place The End of Time before Planet of the Dead and SJA series 3, and then they calm down. They fail to notice how the recsission ended in End in The End of Time, but it still happening in Planet of the Dead, Naismith was arrested in The End of Time, but he is in business in Planet of the Dead, Luke met the Doctor in person for the first time in SJA series 3, but met him in person for a second time in The End of Time.

If you stop ignoring the fact that the Doctor Who universe is a year ahead of us, you get this:

Rose (2005) - Year Skip - DR. WHO series 1 (2006) - The Christmas Invasion (End of 2006) - DR series 2, first half of Torchwood series 1 (2007) - The Runaway Bride (End of 2007) - second half of Torchwood series 1 (early 2008) - the Saxon era (April/May 2008) - SJA series 1 (summer 2008) - Voyage of the Damned (End of 2008) - Torchwood series 2 (January-Febuary-March-April 2009), series 4 DR. Who (April/late May 2009), SJA series 2 (June, July and/or August 2009), Children of Earth (September 2009), normal Christmas (December 2009), Jack leaving Earth (March 2010), Planet of the Dead (April 2010), SJA series 3 (around October and November 2010), The End of Time (December 2010).

If you place The End of Time in 2009, you can only make it work by doing the following: Placing Easter in early June of 2009, allowing SJA series 2, Children of Earth, SJA series 3, The End of Time (like that chronologically).

For an alternate: Torchwood series 2 - DR. WHO series 4 - Planet of the Dead (in bloody June...) - SJA series 2 - Children of Earth - SJA series 3 - The End of Time (chronologically).

Because you can't put the year back, you have to shove several series into 1 year and move Easter to June to allow to take place after the Dalek invaion and in the same year, which would stop it, SJA series 3 and The End of Time being in 2010.

If you can't bare putting Easter in June, then get over it and stop finding obsurd ways of placing The End of Time in 2009. But the big question is- why are all of you suddenly so crazed over it being in syn with us? No one has ever had a problem with the year ahead thing until now -but WHY?

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of a bunch of events all taking place in 2009, but in order of that to work, Easter needs to be in June so that it can still be after the Dalek invasion but in the same year. Delton Menace 01:01, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

The End of Time CAN'T be in 2009- if it happened before Planet of the Dead, then what's Carmen's spooky prophecy supposed to be about? Jim393 19:55, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Something that's yet to happen to him on his personal timeline. In the RTD commentary, he places Donna's wedding in Spring 2010, which is around the same time Jack left Earth. I'm not endorsing one schema or another with those statements, though. -- Noneofyourbusiness 20:06, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

I changed my mind. ;) Planet of the Dead is, too, set in 2009, Jim393, but it does have placment issues as to where it goes in the year. Delton Menace 20:10, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Delton Menace you are not in control of this wiki Tangerinduel is. You are just a user who is going by the I say what happens and then suddenly putting Planet of the Dead inb April 2009 who does that work all the errors are just Typos RTD has just made another UNIT dating crisis. --Catkind121 21:45, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Was not me, stop being so ignorant. I simply heard recent confirmations, and I don't go against what is confirmed. So I go with the changes already made. He fixed the crisis when he ended his era- the specials and SJA series 3 are in 2009 with last year's stories. He did this for Moffat, and know leaked diaglous clearly says series 5 is in early to mid-2010, in sync. If you would stop being blind, you would realize he has fixed his problem and set everything in syc for Moffat to have it clean. He clearly says Donna's spring wedding is 2010, making The End of Time 2009, too. Series 5 is clearly 2010 from some dialouge. The 2008 Christmas special wasn't present day so that they could have the 2009 Christmas special finally set everything in sync again. The latest Torchwood series was set in syc, too. You are so funny when I type one sentance I get a large paragraph back in response. --Catkind121 10:12, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Umm, why can't the different parts of the Whoniverse overlap? Between some SJA episodes there could be weeks and weeks... Can't speak for Torchwood though, I don't follow that. Feumas 22:04, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

1. You do realise there are 365 1/2 days in a year don't you.

2. There has been more than one occasion with planets in the sky now - Gallifrey.

3. you've changed your tune - wasnt it recently that you were saying that the end of time was set in 2010? Saxon 3 17:01, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

That was one planet, though, and another bus passenger pointed out that the Earth had been moved when the planets were in the sky. -- Noneofyourbusiness 18:43, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, everyone in Planet of the Dead referenced the Doctor Who series 4 finale planets in the sky and Earth moving across space. Unfortunately, there is a continuity error regarding the date of the Doctor Who series 4 finale and how it clashes with Planet of the Dead's April 2009 placment. From dialouge and filming leaked, series 5 will be set throughout 2010 (spring time and onwards). Vincent and the Doctor takes place in 2010 (at least, the present day Earth parts all do), and it appears to be very close to Christmas 2010 durng Vincent and the Doctor.

Going by Doctor's Who's chronology progression (later episodes are set later in the year), Vincent and the Doctor, being quoted as being in 2010, in late in the series and has a winter setting. Going by all known information, the early part of series 5 has a very spring/summer setting when on present day Earth, and later series 5 is winter-looking. We can assume the 2010 Christmas special will follow on the chronology and be set on present day Earth, Christmas 2010. Delton Menace 00:58, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
