As Wookiepedia and Memory Alpha have articles like this, should we make one here. I have started the page with some references but before i save it i decided to ask this because i understand someone made an article like this earlier which was deleted. --MrThermomanPreacher 18:47, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

For comparison the Back to the Future wiki has one here, and Memory Alpha has a much larger group of articles starting here.
Personally I don't think much of this sort of page; it wouldn't add much in the way of encyclopedic value to this wiki in regards to either the Whoniverse or behind the scenes of the Whoniverse, which is what we cover. It's like the "in popular culture" stuff that Wikipedians have been arguing over for years with no solution or consensus in sight. Pages like this are prone to random cruft and drama over what qualifies as a "proper" reference, and just tend to become really long hard-to-manage lists of information everyone's willing to add bits and bobs to, but I don't think anybody really gets any practical use out of. We've already got Doctor Who parodies, Doctor Who pastiches and Doctor Who Universe in other continuities. I think what you're suggesting is already covered by these three articles.
I would also echo Rob T Firefly's concerns, what constitutes popular culture? How would we establish a threshold of reference; TARDIS for example has passed into the lexicon and used fairly randomly in conversations within popular culture. --Tangerineduel 13:06, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
If it is not to become an article in itself, can "references to Doctor Who" become a disambig for those pages, as I have numerous times searched for that and could not find that. --The Thirteenth Doctor 13:14, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
