Dark Times

Not to be confused with the Dark Time; a period in the history of Gallifrey.

The Dark Times was the earliest aeon in the history of the Universe, not to be confused with the Pre-Universe.

Many races evolved during these times. Likewise, many were destroyed in wars (or so it seemed). (DW: The Runaway Bride, The Shakespeare Code)

The Doctor implied that the Dark Times ended with the destruction of the Racnoss and the removal of all huon energy from the universe, meaning that the creation of the Sol system was on the brink of this aeon and the next.
