Marilyn Monroe (1st June 1926 - 5th August 1962) - originally named Norma Jeane Mortenson, baptized as Norma Jeane Baker - was a model-turned-actress in the early-to-mid 20th century. In 1952, she met the Doctor at a Hollywood party, and he "accidentally" accepted a marriage proposal from her. (DW: A Christmas Carol)
