Pracitcal electricians are members of the art department. They ensure that that scenic elements and sometimes props are properly wired for electricity. They should not be confused with electricians, who are members of the camera and electrical department, and who deal with rigging lighting and cameras. To date, Albert James has been the sole credited practical electrician for Doctor Who except for Gafin Riley for Silence in the Library.
