Arnulf was a creation in Eugene Tacitus' world. It it he was a henchman of Childerics.
Biography
Arnulf had the role of feeding Childeric's son. As part of his service, Arnulf had to have his tongue cut out. Childeric performed this. He could not have a tongue as Childeric did not wish the "hearing of speech" to impair his son.
Childeric's son restored his speech before killing him. (BFA: The Holy Terror)
