Miasimia Goria was a planet ruled over by the Rani, a renegade Time Lord and brilliant scientist. The alien people enslaved under her became restless and aggressive as a result of her experiments to highten their awareness. She then travelled to Earth to extract the chemical that produced sleep out of human brains for centuries in order to keep her aliens docile. (DW: The Mark of the Rani)
