Cleaner
Cleaning robots were robots whose first function was to maintain the cleanliness of Paradise Towers.The cleaners were under the
control of the chief caretaker, then Kroagnon. The standard version moved on wheels and had a bizarre amount of weaponry, including a buzz saw, a drill, a gas release and a grabbing arm; the machine also included a bin to carry off rubbish (and victims). There was also an aquatic version for the pool, which resembled a crab. Its purpose was to kill any looking for pleasure. This version attacked Mel. (DW: Paradise Towers)
History
The Seventh Doctor and Mel arrived in the TARDIS at Paradise Towers. where they
encountered these cleaning robots. One travelled the area, cleaning up dead residents. This version was equipped with a selection of labour-saving devices such as vacuum nozzles, drills, circular saws, gas jets and automotive bicurval scraping blades. They were also self-activating robots. The second robot was simpler and equipped with claws. It attacked and scared Mel in one of the swimming pools.
