Arcturans seemingly resembled a skull with tentacles running off from the centre, they required a complex life support system to survive in a humaniod based environment and atmosphere.
As far as is known the Arcturans do not have names, the one sent to the planet Peladon was simply known as Arcturus. (DW: The Curse of Peladon)
