Talk:Elisabeth Sladen

I removed this line: "Sladen paid tribute to Barry Letts when he died in 2009" because absolutely no context is offered. Lots of people paid tribute to Letts. What, did she do a special broadcast? Give his eulogy? Appear on BBC. You can't just say something vague like that. 68.146.64.9 07:08, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Death being confirmed by multiple sources

Sadly, her death is being confirmed now by multiple sources, including Doctor Who Magazine. 23skidoo 20:12, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Copied

When I was reading through the article, I noticed it is identical to the wikipedia Elisabeth Sladen article. I thought copy/paste from wikipedia was prohibited?

Also, RIP. Fan555 21:52, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

You have to add a tag, as shown at the bottom. Some bits are unique.----Skittles the hog--Talk 22:03, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Cool. thanks for clearing that up! Fan555 22:06, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

R.I.P Loss of a legend

This is very sad news and I send my condolances to the Miller Family. R.I.P Elisabeth Sladen, you will not be forgotten. Loss of a legend.

You can pay tribute to her by going to this page - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141587895909941 - and attending and/or commenting.

You can watch a tribute video on YouTube at - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLLyQydEV7U.

R.I.P Lis. You will be dearly lost.

Birth Date

Wikipedia editors are claiming that Lis was born in 1946 and are saying that all the media and every other site which claims she was 63 and born in 48 is wrong. Are there any sources for when she is born. The only source they have for the 1946 date is ancestry.com but only people who are paying and registered can see it, so I can't even confirm if this is correct. Surely the media and everyone cannot be wrong? Surely her husband, if not Lis herself would have informed them that they were wrong? The Thirteenth Doctor 19:49, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

I think it's safe to say that the news is more trustworthy than wikipedia, or wikia for that matter.----Skittles the hog--Talk 20:15, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Considering that she's worked with the BBC for the best part of 30(40?) years, I think they're a bit likely to know her age. Then it becomes a simple case of maths: 2011-63 = 1948. Easy. - Excalibur-117-(talkcontribs) 20:57, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
