"We're not fighting an alien invasion, we're leading a revolution." Considering as of now we're thinking that the aliens are invading and that's what he's talking about, I think this means that the "aliens" aren't aliens but natives of earth that no human remembers. I thought that too at first too, but after rewatching last weeks episode and all the trailers for this week I think that it could also be that they have just been here for a very long time and were not originally from Earth.
