Glentor

In the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrHQmEoqTmw&feature=player_embedded at the start the silence say this world is ours 'glentor' could the doctor's name finally be revealed or is it just a mistake. The mysterious 23:08, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

The Silence actually says "This world is ours, Doctor." It is a bit hard to understand them sometimes, but I don't think they would reveal the Doctor's name in a trailer, I don't think they will reveal it at all. Rassilon of Old (Talk - TTFF - Teru) 14:19, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Trailer

the man in chains from the trailer; is that the Doctor?

Pandorica?

The preview says that the doctor is trapped in the perfect prison wouldn't that have to be the pandorica? also it says that they took the little girl and kidnapped amy pond could the little girl be amy pond?

Perhaps the Pandorica was made of the same substance? Also to note, I believe that little girl is Amy and Rory's unborn daughter who was most likely affected by the power of the Tardis while in the womb. She has the regeneration ability which will make people believe she is a time lord, however Rose had many powers after she had been affected by the heart of the Tardis, until the Doctor took the power from her.

Area 51?

Could it be possible that Area 51 will appear? If so, it'll be the perfect excuse to have at least 1 Dalek appear. BNSF1995, Alive since 1995 23:28, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

The Girl

Is the little girl a time lord? She is seen regenerating at the end of the ep. Tyw7  (☎ Contact me! • Contributions)   Changing the world one edit at a time! 17:48, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Must be. Who else can regenerate? 80.192.232.29 17:52, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, this is relevant to the page. If she IS a timelord, it should be noted on this page. Fan555 21:21, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Why was the Doctor captured?

Why was the Doctor even captured and put in Area 51 in the first place? Was there a reason to it? I can't remember them explaining that in the plot. 2.103.122.227 19:53, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Please take this to the Howling. Thanks. --Revan\Talk 19:56, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

  • That was me that posted the comment. This question is relevant for this page because I'm checking before I create a discontinuity page saying that there's no reason for the Doctor to have been captured. It wasn't mentioned in the plot, was it? --The Thirteenth Doctor 20:28, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
    • No it wasn't mentioned and I see your point, yet something else to be resolved... --Revan\Talk 20:56, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
    • This is my first ever post on a wiki, so excuse me if I get the formatting wrong. I think the Doctor being imprisoned and the rest of the team being chased and 'killed' was just to distract the Silence from what was going on until the cell was built. Once that was finished and they were inside they could freely discuss their plans, and were also able to hold the wounded Silent in there, keeping the rest in the dark about the video. The Doctor was obviously already planning for the video, since you see him installing the transmitter before the Silent is even shot (though I'm not sure if he was entirely expecting that to unfold the way it did, or if it was just a lucky break, saving him the trouble of obtaining the video in a different way.) • I was under the impression that the reason the government was hunting them in the first place was because they were acting under the control of The Silence. I thought that was kind of the whole point. Plus it would explain how the FBI in 1969 got their hands on the densest matierial in the universe. Though I suppose they could've gotten it from Torchwood... FixtheFernback 20:22, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
    • There is evidence to believe that the FBI were 'under the influence', considering that the Doctor showed concern that the President might have been... We don't yet know how the encounter with the astronaut ended but its pretty obvious they somehow got away from the Silence in the area. I suppose they must have checked Amy's videophone at one point (though they would probably need a recorded message just to tell them what they had just seen) which would have given them just enough information to know that they should tally themselves. We did not see how they became aware that they could insert subliminal commands, so its quite likely that this manhunt tipped the Doctor off (remember, he didn't tell them about this until after he demonstated it using the holographic Silence, which was possibly acted as confirmation, and he didn't take steps to insure that the President wasn't compromised until after this demonstration). So from we know it can be assumed that they had escaped, became aware of the Silence's existence, found that the FBI was after them and therefore used Canton's association with the FBI to give them some safe ground again.Omegabrain 22:36, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Secret messages

I hope I'm not the only one to spot these: in the Fact Files on the BBC's website, occasional words are italicised seemingly at random - until one puts them together. From "The Impossible Astronaut" http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010tb7q :

All The secrets you seek can be found here on the Webb (sic)

And from "Day of the Moon" http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010y5l3 :

we found your message! you're alive! But what secrets D'you mean my friend? (sic)

No idea where these can be integrated into either article. Also, this seems to be fairly notable: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/videos/p00gj9jm

Anyone else notice the framed picture on the orphanage room wall for the Little Girl? It seems to be a memento mori of a woman in a dress that looks a Silent face/distorted skull upside down. 75.158.134.185 21:50, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

I thought it looked like a Silent! But I thought I was just seeing things. 92.29.189.121 21:51, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Prequel section

The bit about the prequel is in the wrong article. The prequel was shot for The Impossible Astronaut and therefore should be moved to that article. 68.146.78.43 03:52, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

Most perfect prison, radio-waves and signal transmission

The prison cell was supposed to block all kind of signals through it right? Then how did the Doctor contact with Canton and how did Canton send the video data to the Apollon 11 while being inside of it? You can say of course that the door was unsealed, but I am not sure that it works that way.

Eyepatch Woman

Does anybody have any theories as to who she might be? She will most likely be reappearing later in th series though.173.58.145.118 02:03, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Theory

I'm guessing that the little girl is Amy Pond's daughter with the Doctor after Rory dies in some way inthe future. That is why the little girl can regenerate. Then I am also guessing that River will not kill the Doctor, instead she would kill Amy. River always said that she killed someone important (it does not always have to be the Doctor).

I don't really know but this is what I think will happen. :D

  • River killed a man, also this is not the place for speculation. --Witoki 05:15, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

I think that Amy was impregnated by the silence. She couldn't remember her pregnancy the same way that memories are affected by the silence. The Tardis couldn't confirm the pregnancy either. It does feel like Amy was important to the silence, holding her for several days without harming her more than holding her.

I also think the astronaut that murders the doctor is actually the doctor. The little girl has escaped the suit and there is to think that she needs to get back into it. The doctor dies, and we know there is more story to tell in his life, so it makes continuity sense that he is the one that is doing the killing, though who knows why?

The little girl is clearly another time lord and I could get behind her being Amy's daughter, if I didn't believe the silence were behind it somehow.

Zero-balanced dwarf star alloy?

I didn't want to post this on the page without getting a second opinion, but the Doctor says the dwarf star alloy is the densest material. Making a very conservative estimate at the size of one block (I used two cubic feet, but it looks even bigger than that), I figured how much a block of osmium (the real-world densest known substance) would weigh and it'd be about 2800 pounds (or about 1280 kg). This would mean that block is even heavier. It doesn't seem possible for two men to lift it with little apparent effort. However, maybe the "zero-balanced" part somehow means it's been made liftable/maneuverable. Thoughts? TweedJacket 05:40, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Canton Delaware

Canton is NOT a companion...not even a guest companion. Can somebody please remove him from the companion list? Thanks. 152.132.9.132 17:33, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Why not? He traveled in the TARDIS and helped The Doctor on an adventure. That sure sounds like a companion to me.FixtheFernback 20:25, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
His presence at the future Doctor's mourning supports this somewhat, suggesting that he may be far more important than he is now, wouldn't be the first time we've seen companions introduced from a non-linear perspective. Though maybe he could have been invited simply because he was involved in the adventure they were about to partake in...?

The Doctor says "until the next one" to Canton when he leaves meaning he may meet him again and possibly travel with him. 92.29.191.203 06:18, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
