- Terrance Dicks writing aims this book at a younger audience than the previous edition of this title.
- Chris Archilleos provided the cover artwork of this title which ran to a print run of 50,000 copies and was priced 60p (UK).
- This title saw a reprint by Target Books, W. H. Allen in March 1980 of 15,000 copies. The only difference was a price increase to £1.80 (UK).
