The Isle of Sheppey was an island off the coast of Kent. In the 22nd century, at a point in which human miners worked on mining acid, an electrical surge resulted in a Ganger clone animating and killing its former controller. In another mining facility, where a solar tsunami resulted in a group of four Gangers becoming self-aware, Jimmy and Buzzer refer to the incident on the Isle of Sheppey. (DW: The Rebel Flesh)
