Meanwhile in the TARDIS is a title which describes two mini-scenes set during Series 5 of Doctor Who, which were made available on the Blu-Ray and DVD releases of that series.
First Episode
The first episode of the series was: The Eleventh Hour. This episode was mainly composed of the usual "companion-first-starting-out" questions. Amy asked the Doctor questions about how the TARDIS retains its air supply because she believes it's made of wood; why he labeled a time machine "police box"; where were the other windows seen on the exterior of the TARDIS; what is a police box; is the Doctor a police man; if he's seen his haircut; does he need to change the bulb on top the exterior of the TARDIS; and if his bow tie is a cry for help.
The Doctor answers most of these questions and is asked by Amy if he's an alien. To this, the Doctor indirectly answers by saying that Amy is an alien in his terms. Amy wonders if the Doctor is a space squid or a tiny slug zipped in a human suit, but the Doctor dismisses her theories by stating he's as human in appearance as he appears.
Amy admits she's done with her questions, but the Doctor tells her she's just begun; he throws a switch on the TARDIS console as he opens the door, showing her they're in space.
Amy comments that it looked like special effects in a studio, so the Doctor proved it was real by pushing her out of the TARDIS. This action is the starting point of the next episode The Beast Below, which starts with Amy hanging out of the TARDIS in space
Second episode
The second bridged Flesh and Stone and The Vampires of Venice.
Right after the Doctor forces Amy back into the TARDIS, Amy leans on the console, waiting for the Doctor to do something. The Doctor ignores her briefly and pulls the Door Release Lever to lock the TARDIS doors.
Amy asks if she did something wrong because she seems to be getting mixed messages from the Doctor; meanwhile she unlocks the doors. The Doctor re-locks the doors and asks Amy how she's getting mixed messages. Amy says that the Doctor showed up in the middle of the night and took her for a ride in his time machine, leading her to say "No. No mixed messages there. That is like a signal. Like a great big Bat Signal in the sky. Get your coat, love, the Doctor's in".
The Doctor quickly tells her that he didn't bring her with him because he found her attractive as that is not what he's like. When questioned what he IS like, the Doctor tells her he's like Gandalf, but changes his answer to Yoda. Amy dismisses his answer by telling him that he acts like a regular bloke, showing off for the girls and laughing at other guys. The Doctor once again tells her he's not like that, but Amy asks him what he thinks of Rory. This causes the Doctor to laugh, but because he found Rory's big nose funny. Amy points this out and once again tries to seduce the Doctor.
The Doctor tells Amy that he didn't bring her for that once again, leading Amy to wonder why he did. The Doctor tells her he can't "see it" any more. Amy wonders what he means, leading the Doctor to tell her that since he's made time and space his back yard for over nine hundred years, everything about it is now just facts to him. But Amy can "see it", which lets the Doctor see it as well. Amy now wonders if that is the only reason, but the Doctor reassures her that he had more reasons than that.
Amy now wonders if there were other companions to the Doctor, to which the Doctor reluctantly admits that he's had "a few" as a lie to keep Amy from harassing him again. The Doctor tells her that all his previous companions were just chums, buddies, mates, pals. He then stops himself, remembering Donna misunderstanding his Tenth incarnation's wanting of a mate (friend), and tells Amy to forget "mates". Amy wonders how many of the Doctor's companions were girls (which was most of them), and asks if the amount was over or under half the total of his companions. The Doctor tells her that there were "a bit" more girls than guys. Amy wonders how young they were, to which the Doctor says everyone's young compared to him. Amy then wonders if they were all hot, to which the Doctor flusteredly lies that he didn't notice.
The Doctor believes he's out of hot water, but Amy wonders if the TARDIS has visual records of his companions. He quickly locks the records from Amy's access by typing on his keyboard, telling her they're voice locked. Amy tricks the Doctor in saying "show all visual records of previous TARDIS inhabitants." after trying herself. To the Doctor's dismay, the TARDIS plays black and white visual records on the round screen of all his female companions from Barbra Chesterson to Donna Noble in random order. Amy only gasps at the girls that traveled with him saying "Oh, Gandalf!" Angry with his TARDIS for leaving out the boys and K-9, the Doctor says to the console, "Thanks. Thanks dear. Leave out the metal dog, why don't you?" Amy wonders about one of the Fourth Doctor's companions, Leela, because of how scantily dressed she was, as she appears in a string of clips on the screen.
The Doctor is now VERY stressed and plans to go get Rory, so Amy will shut up about his past and stop trying to kiss him. Amy tells the Doctor Rory's having his bachelor party at the moment, prompting the Doctor to tell her that they're gonna make it a great one.
He pulls a lever and they take off into the vortex.
