Scottish actress Neve McIntosh played Alaya and Restac in The Hungry Earth and Cold Blood, and Madam Vastra in A Good Man Goes to War. She is best known to fantasy fans for playing Lady Fuchsia in the 2000 miniseries Gormenghast. In the fall of 2010 she co-starred in the BBC miniseries Single Father alongside David Tennant and Suranne Jones.
Neve was born on the same day that Part One of Day of the Daleks was first broadcast.
