Alex was a working-class individual and the husband of Claire.
Biography
As she was unable to have children, they received IVF treatment, to no avail. Eventually they had son and named him George. However, Alex was unable to cope with looking after him and began to wish someone who take George away. He was unable to keep up with the payments on his flat, as he was unemployed. George became scared of various objects in the flat and these were placed in his bedroom cupboard. Worried about him, Alex tried to get him help. In 2010, the Eleventh Doctor visted.
