Continuity
- This story takes place in the mid-21st Century and featured K9 Mark III, the K9 model that was featured in K-9 and Company and The Five Doctors; the first-person reader character is a future descendant of Sarah Jane Smith who inherits the dog. This book was written long before the 2006 episode School Reunion, in which that version of K9 was destroyed.
- Drax appears having not been seen since DW: The Armageddon Factor. He arguably appears once more as Qixotl in EDA: Alien Bodies.
- The Doctor is travelling without a companion, likely placing this story as occurring in the interval between DW: The Ultimate Foe (after which he presumably returned Melanie Bush to her proper timeline) and PDA: Business Unusual in which the Doctor properly meets Melanie.
- The artwork portrays the Doctor wearing the flowered waistcoat he wore in DW: The Two Doctors.
