In the time of angels she states "I'll see you when the pandorica opens" implying that this was before the weeping angel episode, if i'm right this whole article is wrong.

Firstly, please sign your posts. Secondly, the show involves time travel. River was imprisoned in the 52nd Century, escaped and lived through the events of the pandorica opens and the big bang, then went back to the 51st century and was imprisoned for a second time, then lived through the events of the time of angels and flesh and stone. nothing wrong with that. There's a contradictory bit in the article as is (the last sentence of the main section), so I can see maybe where some confusion is occurring. Let's just throw in some fake ages for explanation, to make sure we're all on the same page.

River is, say, 30 when she's imprisoned in the 52nd century. She escapes, does the Pandorica thing, jumps (or is catapulted by the universe resetting, whatever) back to the 21st century for Amy's wedding. Then, more running around, causing mischief, no idea for how long so let's say two years of her time.

She's 32 now, goes to the 51st century, but gets caught and thrown into the Stormcage (for the same crime/for a different crime, who knows, though I suspect the former). From the 51st century Stormcage, she is released to help take care of the Angels. Though it's an earlier century, we know by her knowledge of the Pandorica that she's older during Angels than during that incident. After the Angels are dealt with, she goes back to the Stormcage in the 51st century in hopes of getting a pardon.

We have no idea if she's pardoned or simply serves out her sentence--her "still" being in jail in the 52nd century does not mean she was not pardoned, as she was younger then, and hadn't been all heroic yet to earn the pardon.

This is my reading of it. Other takes? CrashCart9 13:29, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Looks to me like a reuse of the passageway beneath the Thames in The Runaway Bride. Llamaman201 (talk) 17:20, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead

What I'd like to know is why is there no mention of these two appearances by River Song in this article?

There's no reference to it in those episodes and no reason to believe she was on temporary release from there at the time. There's also no mention of Susan Foreman in the article and there's just as much linkage about her -- after all, the Doctor dropped Rover Song off there in Day of the Moon and she's definitely linked with him.Boblipton 01:50, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

keeping the time line?

my question is about the statment that when River received the invitation from the doctor to meet him in America of 2011 it was "later in the 52sd century". I could not find a reference for that. can you direct me to this information please? and regarding to the previous topic, I think the main problem is that in the Pandorica story River say to Amy that she didnt told them yet about meeting them when the pandorica opens, meaning it was before the weeping angles story that takes place in the 51 century Dushinka 08:25, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

How do we know for definate that she was imprisoned for killing the Doctor and not somone else? The Justice department said she killed the Doctor, but they may not be in charge of Stormcage and she may have been put in for a previous murder.

Also, the timeline seems highly speculative. How do we know the Church didn't take her to the crash of byzantium via time travel? Surely leaping from being in prison in the 52nd century to being in prison during the 51st century would be a paradox risk.

We know the battle of demons run occurs after5145 in her timeline due to Dorium's death, but we don't know whether it occurs before or after the crash of the Byzantium. Pharap 23:26, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
