Inker
An inker is a part of a comic book or comic strip's creative team. The inker literally inks the penciller's base drawings. He or she is therefore mostly in control of line width, which can significantly change the appearance of a penciller's work, especially with regards to visual depth and mood.
In Doctor Who comics, inkers weren't credited until the late 1980s, after which they were regularly mentioned in the pages of Doctor Who Magazine. This partially had to do with the fact that Polystyle's TV Comic and Countdown comics were usually painted, rather than drawn.
With the advent of Marvel Comics' involvement in the world of Doctor Who came a more traditional American style of comic production.
