- Ignoring the Brigadier’s strict instructions, the Doctor decides to take the TARDIS on a trip into Earth’s past. But this is no holiday – the Time Lord is investigating the disappearance of several scientists from the 20th century and all evidence points to a kidnapper at work in the medieval age. Notable Information
- It was Winston Churchill who placed Van Gogh’s painting of ‘The Pandorica Opens’ in the Royal Collection.
- Bob Hoskins was originally approached to play the part of Irongron in The Time Warrior but was unavailable, so he suggested David Daker for the role.
- Actor David Daker played Irongron in The Time Warrior and Captain Rigg in Nightmare of Eden.
- The first story to be filmed in Wales was The Abominable Snowmen (1967).
- Companion Vicki is renamed Cressida, and falls in love with Troilus, unintentionally becoming part of Earth mythology.
- The Time Warrior featured a new title sequence, featured a full length Doctor and the diamond logo.
- Gallifrey was first named the Time Lords home planet in The Time Warrior.
