Cricket was a bat and ball game. It was played using a flat faced bat and specially designed cricket balls. It was a game particularly favoured by the Fifth Doctor, who took many opportunities to play it (DW: Black Orchid, BFA: Circular Time) and to attempt to teach his companions its rules. (BFA: Phantasmagoria)

The First Doctor interrupted a cricket game whilst attempting to escape the Daleks and the Monk concerning the Time Destructor. (DW: The Daleks' Master Plan)

The Fourth Doctor drew inspiration from cricket to avoid destruction of the TARDIS when colliding with a large planetary body. (DW:The Horns of Nimon)

Cricket was a sport at the Olympic Games in 2060. (BFA: Nekromanteia)

The Fifth Doctor intended to play cricket upon his visit to the Eye of Orion. (EDA: The Eight Doctors)

John Smith used a cricket ball to stop a woman with a perambulator from being crushed by a piano. (DW: Human Nature) The Doctor mentioned this when talking to his fifth incarnation. (DW: Time Crash)

Amy Pond hit the Eleventh Doctor with a cricket bat and knocked him unconscious when he broke into her house. (DW: The Eleventh Hour)

The Eleventh Doctor momentarily mistook football for another game (possibly cricket) when he asked, "Football... that's the one with the sticks, right?" (DW: The Lodger)
