Theory:SJA television discontinuity and plot holes/The Nightmare Man
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
If you'd like to talk about narrative problems with this story — like plot holes and things that seem to contradict other stories — please go to this episode's discontinuity discussion.
- The Raxacoricofallapatorian is credited as a Slitheen family member, but has a few differences. The colour of the skin is a darker green, and the colour also covers the stomach, where as a Slitheen's fades. The fingernails were also green at one point.
- Different members of the same species can have varying phenotypes/appearances, just like humans. There isn't any reason why all members would look exactly the same.
- Luke has an unclompleted Rubik's cube on his desk. Surely somebody of Luke's intelligence would be able to complete this easily?
- He is too worried and preocupied to bother with a Rubik's cube.
- Scrammbled up by clyde/rani for him to solve?
- In this episode Luke and Rani both say that the nightmares Luke is having are his first ever. However in Enemy of the Bane he is seen to be having nightmares about Mrs Wormwood.
- The Wormwood dreams were seemingly caused by Mrs Wormwood's return (as in precognitive). However, there was no apparent external reason at the time for Luke's nightmares, hence them referring to it as his first (natural) nightmare.
- When Luke is in the black void at the end of part 1, his last line is "No! I'm going to stop you!" But this doesn't fit the movement of his mouth. In the recap before part two, he says "Please" instead of "No" but it still doesn't fit the movement of his mouth.
- Luke's portion of the video we hear Sarah Jane listening to at the begging of part two is different from the one we hear him recording periodically throughout part one, with different intonation and adding the line "Please!" at the end.
