Novelisation

  • This novelisation is based on the original television serial (DW): The Sun Makers, which was written by Robert Holmes and shown from 26th November 1977.
  • The cover and information shown on the right is for the original Target novel. It features the artwork of Andrew Skilleter. (See below for information on other editions which have been published with different covers).

  • Although not generally acknowledged as such, this was a rare occasion during the 1980s that the title of a novelisation differed from that of the original series, but barely: the serial spelled Sun Makers as two words, while the novelisation used the single-word form, Sunmakers.
