Lucia Moretti
Born 18 June 1945, Lucia Moretti was an Italian Torchwood agent.
Biography
She joined Torchwood on 18 July 1968. Her career lasted to 1977. She was a lover of fellow agent Captain Jack Harkness. Lucia and Jack had two daughters, Melissa Moretti and Roseabelle Harkness. After her retirement, she put Melissa and Rosabelle in a protection programme (application approved on 14 February 1977), upon which Melissa became known as Alice Sangster and Roseabelle became known as Rose Harkness. Rose was placed into care by the people in the protection programme when Lucia fell ill, as she was only two. Rose was never portrayed within the seires, as she was the daughter Jack forgot because he had his memory wiped, and Lucia never got a chance to tell him, as she was too ill and he was too busy saving people from aliens. Alice subsequently married Joe Carter and gave birth to Lucia's grandson, Steven. Lucia died of heart disease on 23 November, 2006. (TW: Children of Earth: Day Three)
