The Catalogue of Life, projected onto a window in Gabriel Chase. (DW: Ghost Light)

The Catalogue of life was created by Light as a list of all organic matter.

History

The catalogue of life was the work of centuries. When Light went to sleep, life started to evolve. Light was angered as this evolution had made the catalogue invalid as it did not contain any knowledge of many species that now dominated the Earth, including humans. Light got the wrong idea on how to correct his work and decided to kill humans instead of simply re-recording the new species. The Seventh Doctor showed Light that life would always evolve, so Light gave up on the catalogue and dispersed. (DW: Ghost Light)

Contents

It was proven that the catalogue contained information on Neanderthals as Light had taken the specimen known as Nimrod. It was also probable that it contained information on reptiles and insects as there were Husks of these in the lower observatory of Gabriel Chase, the house at which Light's ship was situated.
