An impact chamber is a piece of technology designed to resist collisions and explosions. Their first appearance is in Voyage of the Damned, being used by cyborg Max Capricorn, who hoped to use the chamber to survive a nuclear impact with Earth. He was soon defeated at the hands of Astrid Peth, who also fell to her death.
