Madge Arwell

Madge Arwell was the mother of Cyril and Lily Arwell and became a brief companion of the Eleventh Doctor. Her husband was Reg Arwell, a fighter pilot during the second world war. her future actions to save herself and her children caused Reg's original disappearence but in the same moment, he was returned safe and well due to the strength of Madge.
Later on, as the Doctor bid farewell to the Arwell family, Madge requested that he spent Christmas day with family. Madge's persistence soon led to the Doctor paying a visit to Amy Pond and Rory Williams. (DW: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe)
