Professor Astrov was a scientist who worked for an unnamed Throxillian company. He was responsible for the programming of the artificial intelligences aboard the ROSM rescue ships. He was also the lead scientist behind the project to string a series of artificial suns in orbit over Cimmeria IV to facilitate its mining.
Recordings of the Professor's lectures on the artificial sun project were required viewing for the Cimmeria IV base personnel. (BFA: Embrace the Darkness)
