Jondar

Jondar was a rebel prisoner on Varos, his torture was broadcast live to the public from the Punishment Dome, where he was chained. Moments before his execution, the TARDIS arrived in the Dome, and he was rescued by the Doctor and Peri. Jondar is reunited with his mate Areta. Later after being captured by Quillam, the Doctor and Jondar are both subjected to being hung while the Governor and Sil watch. It was all a trick in order to get the Doctor to talk. Jondar was instrumental in freeing Peri and Areta from the cell mutator. Jondar helps the Doctor put an end to Sil’s plans of controlling Varos.
