Isaac Summerfield II
Isaac Summerfield, husband of Claire Summerfield and father of Bernice Summerfield, was an admiral in the Human Alliance's Spacefleet. He had blond hair and was relatively short in stature.
Admiral Summerfield supposedly died in a space battle against the Daleks (NA: Love and War) on board his ship, the Tisiphone in the mid-26th century. Summerfield had, in fact, survived, as Bernice would later learn, and, now stranded in the English village of Little Caldwell in the second half of the twentieth century. Here, he helped stranded aliens and temporal refugees like himself, and tried to stay out of the way of The Doctor, whom he feared. Bernice and the Doctor found him here in 1983. Though he had made a home in 20th century England, at some point after the events of Return of the Living Dad, Admiral Summerfield returned or was returned to his native time. He was manipulated into leading the Fifth Axis forces during their occupation of the Braxiatel Collection on the planetoid KS-159, but is later instrumental in the ultimate defeat of the Axis. His work done, he elects to return to Little Caldwell.
Unlike his daughter, Admiral Summerfield prefers coffee to tea.
