Talk:Remembrance of the Daleks (TV story)

I just removed a bunch of "goofs" items that misunderstand things that seem fairly obvious. Perhaps the most glaring was claiming the Doctor mistook Gilmore for the Brigadier; all we see is that he mistook him for a Brigadier. That's a rank, not a specific individual!

Impossible timeframe.

So "The Dalek Invasion of Earth" is c2164. The Doctor mentions that "The Daleks" was AFTER that. Then, we see Thals in "Planet of the Daleks" which is the 26th century, and they state that "The Daleks" was "generations ago". In "Destiny of the Dakleks" the Thals are no longer on Skaro, while the Daleks are returning(Planet mentioned they ahd been driven off Skaro by the 26th century). Davros is in "Destiny.". "Resurrection of the Daleks" is after "Destiny" and features 2 timelines. The "present", where Earth has spaceflight(and must be after both "Destiny" per Davros) and 1984, where the Daleks and their allies travel BACK in time to. Then, in 1963 comes "Remembrance of the Daleks". This is clearly AFTER both "Resurrection" and "Revelation of the Daleks", yet there is no time travel(excluding The Doctor and Ace). In fact, The Doctor even says to Ace about how the Daleks may be evil but they wouldn't screw with the timeline. In other words, Davros and his Dalejks would attack Earth at the time, NOT in the past. But "Planet" is the 26th century, then "Destiny" is after that, "Resurrection" is after that, "Revelation" is after that, and "Remembrance"is after THAT. How the fuck can it be 1963?

Alternate timeline. It never happened. Perhaps in that timeline that was the invasion which, in ours, took place in the 22nd century.Boblipton ^{talk to me} 15:45, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
