Pope Benedict XVI is not named in either story. The new Pope mentioned in The Gallifrey Chronicles [+]Loading...["The Gallifrey Chronicles (novel)"] is intended to be Benedict XVI, who had been elected Pope two months prior to the novel's release. His image briefly appears in The Eleventh Hour [+]Loading...["The Eleventh Hour (TV story)"] via archive footage.
